Isabel was born at Melbourne, Australia. She has a mother who is Swiss and her father Australian. Her family was from Cairns, Australia. They resided within Cairns Australia. Later, Isabel studied the art of drama at the Queensland University of Technology's Victorian College of Arts. Her auditions were not for any parts until being spotted via her agents in 2002.
